Gregory H. Wingfield, president and CEO, said, “To attract international businesses to Greater Richmond, it is essential for us to convey that our region has the global community of major metro areas, but with the economic and logistical advantages. Often, we’re working with companies seeking to establish their first U.S. presence. Having customized materials, and now the Richmond World View site, businesses have access to key information they need to quickly realize Greater Richmond’s benefits for growing a U.S. operation.”
Since 1994, the Richmond region has assisted over 100 foreign-affiliated companies who have added more than 6,740 jobs and invested more than $3.9 billion.
Rick Whittington Consulting, LLC, a website consulting firm and GRP investor, created and implemented the Richmond World View site design and development.
The Greater Richmond Partnership was launched in 1994 as a pioneering regional public-private initiative to serve as the regional economic development group for the City of Richmond and the counties of Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico. The mission is to help grow the Greater Richmond economy through the attraction of high quality jobs and new capital investment, the retention of existing businesses, and the continued improvement of the region's business climate. Since inception, the Partnership has played a key role in the attraction of more than $7.3 billion in investment by 403 new and expanding companies. This is a return on investment of $164 for every $1 in funding provided by public and private partners since 1994. For more information, please visit http://www.grpva.com.
