NYW Enterprise expands, buys former Smurfit Stone property

NYW Enterprise LLC has purchased a building to expand its Richmond operation. A subsidiary of New York-based New Yung Wah Trading LLC, the company purchased a 145,706-square-foot industrial facility at 5700 Lewis Road near Richmond International Airport in Henrico County for $2.7 million. The 11-acre site, the former home of Smurfit Stone, had been on the market for a year.
The company, in business since 1993, has built a distribution fleet of more than 70 trucks, which serve the food services industry and restaurants throughout the East Coast, with hubs in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
