RICHMOND, Va. – The Greater Richmond Partnership, Inc. (GRP), the lead regional economic development organization for the City of Richmond and the counties of Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico in Virginia, has promoted Bethany Miller to Vice President of Domestic Investment. Miller will start her new role on July 1.
“We’re pleased to promote Bethany to lead our domestic business development efforts,” said Barry I. Matherly, President and CEO of the Greater Richmond Partnership. “Over the years, Bethany has proven herself to be a thoughtful, strategic leader in economic development,” Matherly continued.
While all GRP business development team members will still be involved in recruiting companies from the U.S. and abroad, Miller will be in charge of specifically leading strategy for recruiting domestic-based companies. This newly created position will work in partnership with the vice president of global investment role created last year and filled by Olga Molnar.
Miller has worked for the Greater Richmond Partnership since 2013. Prior to that, she worked at the local level of economic development for communities in Ohio and Virginia and at the state level for Virginia’s Department of Housing and Community Development. She is originally from Columbus, Ohio, and holds a Master of City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University.
Miller currently serves on the Boards of the International Economic Development Council and the Greater Richmond Association of Commercial Real Estate. Additionally, she serves as Secretary for the Lower Magnolia Green Community Development Authority in Chesterfield County, VA.
