RICHMOND, VA — The Greater Richmond Partnership Inc., the regional economic development organization, announces that it has promoted Olga Molnar to the position of Vice President, Global Investment. The new role was effective July 1st.
Molnar, who has served the region for more than 10 years in a research capacity, will devote all of her time to business development, primarily focused on foreign direct investment and international relations. Over the last few years, she has steadily accepted more attraction projects leading to her new position.
“More than 65 percent of our active prospects are internationally based and we’re shifting efforts to maintaining those relationships,” said Barry I. Matherly, President/CEO of the Partnership. “We are all very proud of Olga’s accomplishments over the years and look forward to strengthening our international approach to business development.”
Molnar holds a Master’s of Urban and Regional Planning degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and Bachelor’s in International Studies from Spring Hill College. The Ukrainian native speaks three languages (English, Ukrainian and Russian). Molnar immigrated to the U.S. in 1998 to further her collegiate studies.
