
Chris Guzman-Cruz, GRP’s Economic Competitiveness Coordinator, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Human Resources Management with a minor in Real Estate at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
While at VCU, Chris was a teaching assistant in mathematics as well as a teaching assistant in the real estate program. During a summer internship, Chris joined the Richmond Economic Development team where he performed research on business attraction and competitiveness. While at VCU, he joined the VCU Kornblau real estate program team where Chris provided support to networking opportunities with fellow peers and industry professionals of various areas of the industry.
Chris is originally from Northern Virginia and relocated to Richmond in 2021. After graduating, he decided to remain in Greater Richmond due to the diversity in cultures, people and activities throughout the area. Chris enjoys exploring new experiences in the city, escape rooms, and playing strategy video games.
Chris currently resides in Henrico County.
