RICHMOND, Va. (July 22, 2025) – The Greater Richmond Partnership (GRP) announces that Chris Guzman-Cruz has joined the team as Economic Competitiveness Coordinator. Guzman-Cruz will support initiatives to analyze the region’s competitiveness against peer metros as well as gather industry insight from existing businesses.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Chris to the team,” said GRP President + CEO Jennifer Wakefield. “Our five-year strategic plan outlined the need for Greater Richmond to stay abreast of best practices in competitiveness to push the region to success. Chris will be a big part of that initiative.”
Guzman-Cruz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Human Resources Management with a minor in Real Estate from Virginia Commonwealth University. He was recently honored by the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE) group with the 2025 Rising Star award.
