KORE recently leased space in downtown Richmond’s James Center.

“Our new Richmond office reflects KORE’s commitment to growing in regions where innovation and talent converge. KORE provides a comprehensive suite of services, including secure and resilient global connectivity, device management, and IoT lifecycle solutions. With a deep focus on mission-critical applications across industries such as healthcare, logistics, automotive, and industrial, KORE enables organizations to drive digital transformation, improve operational efficiency, and unlock new revenue streams.

“The City of Richmond welcomes KORE Wireless to Downtown,” said Mayor Danny Avula. “They join a vibrant and innovative business community, including the CoStar Group, Dominion Energy, the Fifth District Federal Reserve, and other leading companies in the finance, tech, and professional services. With a central downtown location, KORE employees will have easy access to Richmond’s thriving art and culture, restaurants, and riverfront amenities.”

The company cites Greater Richmond’s continued emergence as a vibrant community for technology, talent, and innovation. “Richmond presents a strong combination of talent, infrastructure, and growth potential. The region’s innovation ecosystem aligns with KORE’s strategic priorities and global vision,” said Totton.

KORE is considering new hires in business development and human resources.

Bruce Boykin, Senior Asset Manager of the James Center, requested assistance from GRP and the City to help KORE with the attraction project. The Greater Richmond Partnership and the City of Richmond’s Department of Economic Development helped KORE with its site location decision and provided valuable support throughout the process, including market insights, connections to local partners, and guidance that contributed to a smooth and successful launch.

“The Greater Richmond Partnership was a helpful resource throughout the process, offering guidance on site selection, timing, and local outreach,” explained Totton. “Their support played a meaningful role in KORE’s decision to launch successfully in Richmond.”

“The Greater Richmond region loves tech companies and KORE is leading the way in IoT advancements,” said Jennifer Wakefield, President & CEO of the Greater Richmond Partnership. “KORE covers more than 200 countries including 20 million connected devices across the globe – and today, they’re doing it from here in the Richmond Region.”
