Greater Richmond named a top location for corporate headquarters

RICHMOND, Va. (July 27, 2021) โ€“ The Greater Richmond Partnership (โ€œGRPโ€), the lead regional economic development organization serving the City of Richmond and counties of Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico in Virginia, announces that Greater Richmond, Va., was listed as one of the Top Ranked Locations for corporate headquarters in Business Facilities magazineโ€™s 2021 State Rankings Report.

โ€œGreater Richmond, Virginia, is home to 12 Fortune 1000 companies and many more regional and divisional headquarters,โ€ said Jennifer Wakefield, President and CEO of the Greater Richmond Partnership. โ€œWhen it comes to mid-sized markets, no other metro in the nation has more than the Richmond region.โ€

Helping this ranking was the 12 locally headquartered companies that graced the Fortune 1000 list. This is the most amount in Greater Richmondโ€™s history since Fortune combined privately- and publicly-owned firms into one list. Greater Richmond is also home to major divisional headquarters and regional offices such as CoStar, McKesson Medical-Surgical and the regionโ€™s largest employer Capital One.
