Construction is underway for an 82,000-square-foot Cabela’s store that will be one of the anchor tenants for West Broad Marketplace in western Henrico County.
Work on the upscale outdoor gear retailer’s first Richmond-area store began this month at the development at 12120 W. Broad St., west of Short Pump Town Center.
The projected opening for Cabela’s is March 2016.
The development’s second anchor tenant — a 140,000-square-foot Wegmans Food Markets Inc. grocery store — is slated to open in June 2016.
Construction on the upscale Wegmans store is expected to begin this summer. Already under construction is a Wegmans at the Stonehenge Village Shopping Center on Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield County, about a mile west of Chesterfield Towne Center.
