Dominion Energy’s Charlene Whitfield named Chair of the Greater Richmond Partnership

RICHMOND, Va. (July 20, 2023) – The Greater Richmond Partnership (GRP), the lead regional economic development organization serving the City of Richmond and counties of Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico in Virginia, announces Charlene Whitfield, retired executive of Dominion Energy, as Chair of the Board of Directors. Bobby Ukrop, Chairman and CEO of Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods was named Chair-elect. Patricia S. O’Bannon, Chair of the Henrico County Board of Supervisors, was named Vice Chair and Dr. Cynthia I. Newbille, member of the Richmond City Council, moves into the Immediate Past Chair role. All positions are effective July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.
GRP is a public-private nonprofit organization governed by a sixteen-member board made up of officials from each of Greater Richmond’s four localities plus executives from the organization’s 100+ corporate investors. GRP’s Board of Directors for fiscal year 2023-2024 are as follows:
