A local technology company has landed its first paid client since making a strategic shift toward disease monitoring systems two years ago.
ALR Technologies, which offers a platform to remotely monitor diabetes patients, has signed a contract with Clay Platte Family Medicine Clinic.
The deal will give ALRT and its Internet-based Health-e-Connect system access to the Kansas City, Missouri, primary care clinic’s 3,400 diabetes patients.
Data uploaded regularly from patients’ glucose meters is used to monitor their adherence to diabetes care plans and alert doctors to glucose level trends.
